What is this?
For the May clinic Tom Caldwell will be teaching us how to make a small “bowl in a bowl” illusion. It's a great effect that creates a nice piece of art that is sure to be a conversation piece.
Participants will need to bring a blank approximately 5” diameter by 4” deep. Maple is a good choice. They will also need a 4” diameter by 3” deep piece softwood scrap that will be made into a jamb chuck.
We won’t do any sanding or finishing but will concentrate on the various steps required for the illusion.
You supply your own blanks for this clinic. All of the basic tools that you will need will be supplied but you can bring your own if you wish.
The clinic will start at 9 a.m. but please arrive by 8:30 to set up and be ready to start by 9 as this is an ambitious project.
